ABSTRACT

Food circulation is not only the first point of contact with consumers, but also the final hurdle toward entry into millions of homes. It is a stage involving the largest number of consumers. According to the Food Safety Law and its implementing regulations, industrial and commercial administrative departments are accountable for food safety supervision in circulation in China. Consumer safety in the Chinese food market has been basically guaranteed by strengthening admittance management of food producers and operators, regulating production and operation of food enterprises, striving to control food quality and safety in circulation, and actively preventing and handling food safety incidents in circulation by the industrial and commercial administration systems over the years. However, many problems still remain unsolved.
