ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we will introduce the views and legal interpretations of US criminal courts judge, Elizabeth Robb, who is currently the Chief Judge of the 11th Judicial Circuit of Illinois. Judge Robb’s interview will be divided into three general areas: (1) the role of the judiciary and the current state of criminal law and criminal procedure, (2) the important trends and developments of the criminal courts, and (3) the challenges the courts will face in the next decade in responding to modern crime problems.
