ABSTRACT

INTRODUCTION The theory of two-ports was invented many years ago as a method to analyze networks with practically zero computational resources: small networks are analyzed in a special way and their interconnections are handled by the two-port rules. Since the arrival of computers the two-port theory lost its importance. We added a brief explanation because it is mentioned in the next chapter where we study the transformers. Only impedance and admittance parameters are covered here, although several others also exist.
