ABSTRACT

The objective of reliability databases is to render all analyses simple regardless of the complexity of information. Reliability databases provide the ability to acquire and use large amounts of diverse data that are seamlessly integrated with computational features that generate all of the analyses discussed in this book. Ideally, failure data are automatically acquired from system built-in test equipment; repair and logistical downtime data are accessed from management information systems; and all cost rates are acquired from accounting sources without the need for manual entry from documents.
