ABSTRACT
This chapter describes a variety of commonly used rock fall protection structures, ranging from inexpensive ditches to high-energy-capacity wire-rope fences. Design principles for reinforced concrete rock fall sheds and wire-rope canopies are discussed in Chapter 11.
