ABSTRACT
More precise estimates of treatment contrasts can be obtained if treatment combinations are replicated more than once in the factorial design. If the number of treatment combinations is not too large or if a large amount of experimental material is available then multiple replicate factorial designs can often be employed. A further advantage is that an independent estimate of experimental error will be available from a comparison among replicate treatments. Such designs will be discussed in this chapter.
