ABSTRACT

Patients with DH develop an intensely pruritic dermatitis, often out of proportion to their clinical findings, whose primary lesions consist of grouped, minute vesicles, although a widespread dermatitis can occasionally be present (Figures 6.1 through 6.6). On examination, it is common to see only excoriations. Anatomic areas favored by DH include the elbows, knees, scalp, and sacral area.
