ABSTRACT

The question of land availability and costs for bioenergy production brings us to the concept of bioenergy production using waste sources. When we produce bioenergy using selected feedstocks, a more targeted biofuel type can be produced, but the cost will be high. However, when we use waste streams originating from sewage treatment and shery production, it may be less productive for the targeted biofuel type but may well be more cost-effective overall.
