ABSTRACT

In today’s world, social media has garnered a significant place in many Americans’ daily lives. Over the past few years, a growing number of healthcare human resources (HR) staff and hiring managers have sought to take advantage of this fact by reviewing the posts, pictures, and other material that candidates (and their friends and acquaintances) leave on social media sites. At the same time, many healthcare organizations have not yet jumped on the social media search bandwagon. In this chapter, I provide information that both of these camps can use.
