ABSTRACT
CNC gauging for pr!'!SS brakes is a concept that has been around since the 1960s, and developments continue to be made each year. These developments include additional axes of control and more refined accuracy. This chapter will explain the basic concept of CNC gauging and the associated productivity increases. We will then explain how each axis applies to the metalforming process and will also define which types of press brakes are candidates for each axis.
