ABSTRACT
The exercises in this chapter are concerned with more substantial multivariate data sets. They should give the reader valuable experience in handling a large-scale ‘messy’ set of data, and emphasize the point that a simple ‘common-sense’ approach to data analysis is often preferable to the use of more sophisticated statistical techniques.
