ABSTRACT
This chapter provides a review of interactions phenomena occurring between polymer packaging and packed products. The migration of species from primary packaging to contained product and the sorption of the product in the polymer could have many consequences. Migration may alter the quality, the shelf-life, the organoleptic or therapeutic efficacy of the packed product. Sorption may cause stress-cracking, squeeze or paneling of the container.
