ABSTRACT
Some steps towards sustainability in construction are: changing the design process, the integrated team work and the use of building sustainability assessment in all the phases of a construction. In Eastern European countries the design approach in terms of sustainability is at the beginning, as different stakeholders involved in the process treat very differently these issues. The present research focuses on finding a common ground and a consensus-based approach in order to propose an assessment methodology adapted to local conditions.
