ABSTRACT

The decision-making effectiveness of a business executive, manager, and leader will be a defining character trait evidencing strong capabilities and wherewithal. Two key factors in decision-making effectiveness is the use of two measurement systems known generically as qualitative and quantitative analysis. Mining requires time, expense, and resources so managers can collect data that can be figured into the decision-making process. Preliminaries will help managers in moving forward and molding an eventual decision and solution, as long as managers do not allow that fact to interfere with the mining and evaluation process that might move forward into a different direction. Managers and leaders who have high levels of Emotional intelligence (EQ) can find solutions better and have an easier time at leading people in a direction to everyone’s mutual interests. EQ is a hot discussion point in corporate America coming from a group of progressive corporate cultural icons who have studied the subject in great depth.
