ABSTRACT

This chapter outlines the best practice strategy in global supply chain risk management. The individual needs knowledge in both risk and global supply chain management, and must integrate both disciplines into the overall strategy. An effective corporate compliance program as defined by the Department of Commerce is one that ultimately yields intended results: education, detection, and deterrence. At the end of the day the true test of a company's adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), business processes, and protocol changes is to 'audit'. The hallmark ultimately is validated and confirmed through the application of creating SOPs business protocols, and processes. The assessment stage, as outlined in the preceding section, creates the foundation for a strategy to bring resolution. When the project creates a collaborative approach among all the key stakeholders you are directly and vibrantly obtaining the best opportunity to succeed in your risk management strategies.
