ABSTRACT

Any medical article, and especially those about causality, is a reported argumentation. As an exercise in critical thinking, we build into a medical article a structured and organized dialogue between authors and readers about the best understanding of the health problem and decisions to be made in the clinical care of the individuals, groups of patients and community as a whole in preventive medicine, health protection, and promotion in public health. Argumentation in health sciences is a process of sharing reasoning about a health, disease or well-being problem to reach its understanding and solution.
