ABSTRACT

With the increasing prevalence of social information systems, users increasingly turn to the Web for information generated by other fellow users. This includes looking up online reviews (e.g., Amazon.com) in deciding which product to purchase, bookmarking sites (e.g., Delicious.com) in deciding which Webpage to read, location-based social networks (e.g., Foursquare.com) in deciding which point of interest to visit, etc.
