ABSTRACT

George Boole (1815-1864) was an English mathematician and a founder of Boolean logic. He was born in Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England, in 1815. Boole’s father, John Boole, was a dilettante in the field of science. He loved participating in discussions and lectures on science and technology, and became the curator of the library of the Lincoln Mechanics Institute. George Boole could access excellent books, and essentially taught himself foreign languages, classics, Christian theology, and mathematics [1, 2].
