ABSTRACT
The concepts of mistake of law and mistake of fact are central to any legal system, which must define its position vis-à-vis both the individual who acts in good faith, assuming a state of affairs to exist which differs from the true situation (mistake of fact), and the person who acts without knowing that his action is forbidden or illegal (mistake of law).
