ABSTRACT

The vast majority of kidnappings occur from a vehicle. After mounting a lengthy surveillance, the kidnapper will either engineer an opportunity or just wait for one to happen naturally. This could be a traffic accident or while the victim is waiting at a traffic light or simply attempting to turn at a junction. The possibilities open to a determined kidnapper are endless, and it is of overriding importance that the balance is tipped away from the kidnapper and into the ambit of the victim.
