ABSTRACT
Most people have no idea how to defend themselves against even the most amateurish mugger let alone a well-organized and determined kidnapper. Unfortunately, people tend to think that what they see in films and TV programs can be achieved by the average man on the street. An organized kidnapper armed or otherwise will nearly always have the element of surprise on his side, and the victim will be overpowered in a matter of seconds. Even a person experienced in martial arts will have little chance against a surprise attack by an armed assailant.
