ABSTRACT
A message digest algorithm such as MD5 is also known as a hash function or a cryptographic hash function. It takes a message as input and generates a fixed-length output in response, which is generally less than the length of the input message. The output is known as a hash value or message digest. A message digest is also known as a compact digital signature for an arbitrarily long stream of binary data [1].
