ABSTRACT
All of the analysis methods discussed in the previous chapters have been based on mathematical models that represent the formation as a porous, naturally homoge neous medium. This representation, however, may not always be appropriate. In this chapter, additional considerations for slug tests performed in fractured and naturally heterogeneous formations are reviewed. A brief discussion is also presented on the use of slug tests for assessing conditions at prospective pumping-test observation wells.
