Accidents and personal injuries can be prevented through the mitigation of job site hazards and unsafe work practices. There is a significant financial benefit to employers in providing a safe working environment for employees and the contractors they hire. In addition, since it is morally unacceptable to knowingly expose individuals to conditions that could be reasonably expected to result in injuries, the law requires that employers provide a safe working environment.
