ABSTRACT
Just as the site host wishes to know that his CM is implementing an effective project safety program, the CM should verify that the general contractor is implementing an effective safety program, as specified in the contract. In turn, the general contractor should ensure that his sub-tier contractors are controlling workplace hazards and are integrating safety into their daily work practices.
