ABSTRACT
The originator's contribution to safety is the identification of safety and health issues that may not be readily apparent to the designers. The originator may be aware of environmental issues such as subsurface contamination or of the fact that there are sporadic, very high, ambient noise levels in the vicinity where the work is to be constructed.
