ABSTRACT

Chemists (AOAC)], and others. Instrumental approaches are developed by industrial and clinical/environmental laboratories to meet regulatory requirements, as well as by regulatory agencies and other federal, state, and local agencies and laboratories. It can be reasonably asserted that chemists practice analytical chemistry, in one form or another, more than any other branch of chemistry. Surely this is true in regulated industries, such as the pharmaceutical industry, and by agencies that regulate them, such as the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
