ABSTRACT
The potential applications of IVDS in the current configuration are numerous; likewise the applications of the next generation IVDS and RapidDx are even more numerous. The future is open to those who have imaginations and can dream of having a near real-time virus detector that is not based on molecular biology or complicated chemistry, but rather is a physical-based approach. As I noted earlier, the IVDS can sit on a shelf with minimum attention and be turned on and operated quickly when needed; that means no reagent shelf lives to worry about.
