ABSTRACT
Use of solid-state technology will lessen the current and voltage differentials required to monitor and control circuits. Solid-state technology precludes open sparks, as all electrons are contained within the solid material. The equipment may be contained within potted units where circuitry is covered by a potting compound; however, this does not guarantee that no hot spots will exist.
