ABSTRACT
In this chapter we work our way through various aspects of the methodology of therapeutic trials, initially with specic reference to randomized control trials (RCTs). We then discuss therapeutic studies of service delivery changes and the specic features that relate to them. We follow this with an explanation of how to understand and use the results that the authors of the trial produce. We have distilled much of this information into the checklist which is shown at the end of this chapter.
