ABSTRACT
As emphasized previously, the elution mechanism of proteins in
ion -exchange chromatography (lEe) is very complicated, since
a number of factors are involved in the elution process. For
the prediction of operating conditions and lor the design of col-
umn dimensions, therefore, it is necessary to know how one
particular variable affects the elution (separation) behavior
while the others are fixed.
