ABSTRACT
Probing Langmuir monolayers and multilayers (formed by LB, MILS or other methods) now uses a large arsenal of experimental techniques starting from simple measurements of surface tension or pressure to surface sensitive spectroscopy, scattering studies and microscopy. In this chapter we will give a brief overview of the working principle of some of these techniques used by us.
