Mylohyoideus (0.91 g) • Attachments: From mylohyoid line of mandible to hyoid bone, posteriorly, and
to the ventral midline, anteriorly. • Usual innervation: Mylohyoid nerve of mandibular division of CN5 (Raven
1950). • Notes: There is usually no distinct median raphe of the mylohyoideus in
gorillas, according to Saban (1968), Göllner (1982), Gibbs (1999), and to our dissections.
