Rees Algebras and Normality

In this part a detailed presentation of complete and normal ideals is given. The systematic use of Rees algebras and associated graded rings will make clear their importance for the area. Some outstanding references for blowup algebras and the normality of Rees algebras are [59, 412, 414]. A general reference for integral closure of ideals, rings, and modules is [259].
