ABSTRACT
First, I should make sure that the title of this section is not confused with card counting which is a technique used when playing Blackjack in a casino in order to obtain an edge over the house advantage; this topic will be discussed in Chapter 4. With that out of the way, it’s now time to take a look at some questions regarding the game of poker. At first, we’ll concern ourselves with versions that give the player an initial hand of five cards, and study the distribution and probabilities of those five cards. Then we’ll spend some time on some variants.
