North American Production Returns to the Fold

The exodus of North American manufacturing (and that of many other so-called “wealthy” countries) to developing countries that offered cheap labor, including China, started in the 1960s and accelerated in the 1980s. But for a few years now, the reverse trend is beginning to pick up steam.
