Between September 2009 and February 2010, the Toyota automobile manufacturing company issued a historic recall of 8.7 million vehicles across the globe, followed by a few other smaller ones. This was one of the most serious crises Toyota had faced in its entire history-a company that had until then built an almost-untarnished reputation.
