ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we introduce and discuss the most popular and recent shot boundary detection methods. Then, we analyze the accuracy and efficiency of shot boundary detection. Finally, a novel accelerated shot boundary detection approach is proposed and compared with existing methods to verify its efficiency and accuracy.
