ABSTRACT

In the cat3 the most common pattern of disease on the nasal planum is ulceroproliferative (Fig. 10.1A) in presentation, a consequence, in part, of the frequency with which squamous cell carcinoma is encountered. In the dog, in contrast, a change in pigment, hyperkeratosis, erosion, ulceration and crust formation and fissure is more usually seen (Fig. 10.1B). Discoid lupus erythematosus is the most common disorder3.
