ABSTRACT

The history of communication is diverse, and represents numerous inventions that have increased both the efficiency and effectiveness of communicating. Regardless of the invention or derivative thereof, the basic principles associated with the foundational communications process are unchanged. Basically, someone encodes and transmits a message to someone who receives and decodes the message. The receiver may supply some type of feedback regarding the received message. Communication is deemed successful if both the sender and the receiver have a mutual comprehension and understanding of concepts that are associated with the intended message. These notions permeate any fashion of communicating between humans regardless of the communications modality.
