ABSTRACT

Different skin tumors may reveal similar types of vessels, but these can differ in their architectural arrangement. Different distributions of vascular patterns are uniform, stringlike, clustered, radial, irregular branching, and unspecific arrangements. Schematic drawing of the six most common types of vascular arrangement. Upper left: regular; upper middle: stringlike; upper right: clustered; lower left: radial; lower middle: irregular branching; lower right: unspecific. Dermoscopic images of the six most common types of vascular arrangement. Upper left: regular; upper middle: stringlike; upper right: clustered; lower left: radial; lower middle: irregular branching; lower right: unspecific. Differences in the arrangements are an important clue for the right diagnosis.
