n Small CNN lifetime risk of melanoma development is 1%-5%. n Medium CNN lifetime risk of melanoma development is uncertain. n Small-and medium-sized nevi rarely change into melanoma before puberty. n Of giant nevi, 5%-10% result in melanoma, and 50% usually arise between 3 and 5 years. n Melanoma development with giant CNN has a poor prognosis.
