ABSTRACT
In Table 7.1, the summary of applications of reinforced plastics are reviewed under three main headings: mechanical, thermal, and electrical. Reinforcing agents considered include glass fibers, carbon fibers, carbon nanotubes, graphite, talc, minerals, silica, mica, and calcium carbonate. These applications now cover a wide range of applications, including general engineering, automotive, aerospace, building materials, electronics and microelectronics, power sources, medical, and bioengineering.
