ABSTRACT
Research Question For women with clinically node-negative axillae, is total mastectomy alone (followed by axillary lymph node dissection if the axilla becomes clinically positive in the future) versus total mastectomy with regional radiation equivalent to radical mastectomy? In addition, for women with clinically node-positive axillae, is total mastectomy and regional radiation equivalent to radical mastectomy?
