ABSTRACT
CRITICAL POINTS ◾ Lumbar facet screw fixation is indicated for additional stability of interbody fusion at one or two levels.
◾ It is a minimally invasive short-segment posterior fixation technique. ◾ Compared with pedicle screw fixation, lumbar facet screw fixation causes less trauma to posterior musculature and adjacent facet joints (see Fig. 14-1).
