ABSTRACT

Plant Description Comprising a genus of over 200 species native to tropical Austral/Asia, Hoya are climbing, woody stemmed, evergreen plants with thick waxy, hairless, ovate to oblong, short petioled leaves. In some species the immature leaves are red before turning green. The characteristic starshaped flowers are fragrant, produced in short stemmed umbels, and range in color from white to shades of pink and red (Figures 199 and 200).
