Roentgen Signs in Survey Films ✓ Intestinal walls become rigid and parallel. ✓ Gas-or fluid-filled loop(s) of small intestine exceed the diameter of a rib by 3 to 4 times.
✓ Dilation can be localized or generalized, and either mild to severe. ✓ Severe dilation could indicate obstruction (e.g., foreign body, volvulus).
