Normal Appearance ✓ The dog's colon is simple, nonsacculated, and has a smooth mucosal lining (see Figure 2-6).
✓ Typically the overall shape is a simple “shepherd’s crook.” ✓ Additional flexures or folds are present in many normal dogs. ✓ A reflex segmental contraction may be present just cranial to the catheter tip and cuff.
