pearsonema plica Capillarid of canine bladder from ingesting earthworms or possibly other paratenic hosts. PPP= 2 months. Dx: Egg in urine, like Trichuris vulpis, but smaller (60 µm long) with large surface pits. Adult Habitat: Threaded through mucosa of urinary bladder wall. Similar Species: None. Range: World. Clinical Signs: Asymptomatic, but may have cystitis Tx: No approved drug. After Tx, eggs may be passed in urine for several weeks after adults killed. Potential therapy includes:
