ABSTRACT
Preceding chapters have dealt with the origin and evolution of groundwater. Yet, where water resources are concerned it is not only the source of water that is relevant, but also its quality. What is groundwater quality? Fetter (1988) quotes Aristotle: “When water chokes you, what are you to drink to wash it down?”
